Work to be performed

Under the technical guidance of WHO Viet Nam, the APW holder will:

  1. Analyse the existing dataset on commune health stations (CHSs) staffing, infrastructure, service readiness, training needs, and selected output indicators.
  2. Assess CHS worker knowledge and practical decision-making in selected priority service areas through an integrated field assessment in 2027 using structured interviews, standardized clinical vignettes, demonstrations, and other agreed methods.
  3. Identify gaps between structural readiness and actual worker competency for service delivery inpriority diseases.
  4. Document process gaps, including detection, follow-up treatment support, registers and reporting, diagnostic referral, and collaboration with local actors.
  5. Develop practical recommendations for competency-based training and for strengthening workforce planning at CHS level.
